If you love to knit, then you may have heard of different ways to create awesome knitted products. You no longer have to use the trusty knitting needles if you do not want to. There are so many gorgeous types of yarn and wools on the market now that are thick and luxurious that you can quickly arm knit a blanket while you are watching that movie. You could make one each night if you want to sell them or for gifts.
I personally love the idea of this, because it is simple and it is fast.
Selling Knitted Products for a Business or in Craft Shows
Everyone loves knitted products, but the time involved is not always reflected in the price you can get. Some intricate patterns can take hours. So if you want to use knitting as a business, then you need to find ways to quickly make a product that looks awesome and cozy such as these arm knitted blankets. Check out the video below for instructions to get you inspired.
Where to find couture jazz yarn
erThis yarn is a soft but much thicker yarn then you may be used to. It can be found in many craft stores, but I have found the largest variety is online. You will need a few balls of this to complete a project but the speed is incredible.
Just a word of caution, this is the day you don't want to be disturbed! If you are needed and are elbow deep in your arm blanket knitting, then you need something close by as a stitch holder, a loop of the yarn even, just something because as we all know Murphy's law tends to happen when you sit down to relax and try your hand or should I say "arm" at this blanket. Make sure the stitches are not too tight on your arm and then they will be easy to slide off onto a keeper of some sort!
Super Large Needles?
I was also thinking, that if you don't like the idea of using your arms, or you feel the yarn would irritate your skin, you could try using super large knitting needles instead. It would still be a quick project but maybe not quite as quick as your arms as the stitches are much larger. But it is a thought. You can also finger knit which is another great way to create something a little different.
Knitting has come a long way, and I have found online sites such as Amazon that offer free shipping many of the times to be a quick way to get variety.
Happy Knitting, and hope the above video inspires you to try something a little different and see your project grow fast, and it this case under an hour!
My name is Diane and I love all arts and crafts including painting, drawing and knitting (I painted the bee above!) I decided after many years to take up knitting again and needed simple patterns that I could do while watching TV or listening to music that would help dial down stress. I hope you enjoy some of my own projects as well as ones I have found.
